What You'll Need (For One Serving)
- 3 tablespoons of our special 5-minute boba pearls or other ready-made topping (eg. popping boba, jelly, crystal boba)
- 1 premium loose-leaf tea bag
- 4 tablespoons of fruit syrup
- 2 teaspoons of butterfly pea mix
- 2 150 ml (small) cups
- 1 500 ml (large) cup
- 1 spoon
- Ice cubes
Let's Get Cooking!
5 Min Boba Pearls
- Fill a pot with 500 ml of water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
- Once the water is boiling, lower it to medium heat and add the boba pearls.
- Stir the boba pearls gently to ensure they do not stick to the bottom of the pot and cook them for 5 minutes with the pot lid off.
- Once the boba pearls are cooked, rinse them under cold water to cool them down.
Bubble Tea Syrup
- In the 1st 150 ml cup, place the tea bag inside. Bring 100 ml of water to a boil and pour it into the cup. Steep the tea for 1-2 minutes and remove it afterwards.
- Add 4 tablespoons of fruit syrup into the 1st 150 ml cup and stir until the syrup is fully mixed with the tea.
- In the 500 ml cup, add the cooked boba pearls or ready-to-eat popping pearls/ jellies to the bottom. Then, fill the cup to the top with ice cubes.
- Pour the fruit tea liquid from the 1st 150 ml cup into the 500 ml cup (over the ice).
- In the 2nd 150 ml cup, add 2 teaspoons of butterfly pea mix powder and mix it with 100ml of cold water.
- Once the fruit tea liquid in the 500 ml cup has cooled down, top up the cup with more ice cubes. Using the spoon, scoop the butterfly pea mixture from the 2nd 150 ml cup. Let the butterfly pea mixture slowly drip out of the spoon into the top of the 500 ml cup. It is very important to pour the butterfly pea mixture slowly to allow it to sit on top of the fruit tea liquid.
Personalize the Taste of Your Bubble Tea!
The best part of our Bubble Tea Kits is that you can customize your bubble tea to fit your exact preferences! Here is a general guideline of how to tweak your bubble tea to fit you just right!
To adjust the chewiness of your boba pearls - the longer the boba pearls are cooked, the softer and less chewy they will get! The recommended cooking time of 5 minutes will get the boba pearls to the chewiness level that you'll find at most bubble tea shops!
To adjust the sweetness of your bubble tea - add more/ less fruit syrup or fructose syrup
To adjust the temperature/ dilution of your bubble tea - add more/ less ice cubes. We suggest adding 25 ml less water for every extra ice cube added to your bubble tea!
