Meet The Founder
Hello! I’m Carol and I’m the founder of Bauble Boba! Thanks for stopping by my small business and supporting us today! I started Bauble Boba in 2020, and since then we have grown our AAPI women-led business team. Before becoming a full-time small business owner, my day job was working as an accountant!
For me, bubble tea is a big part of my life and an important way to feel connected with my Asian heritage. I have always loved enjoying a bubble tea at the end of a long workday, and have many fond memories of deep chats with friends over bubble tea. As the pandemic set in, I, like many others, felt quite distant from friends and experienced burnout from working at home all day. I would often order bubble tea over Uber Eats as a pick-me-up, but with all the delivery charges and small order fees, I was paying almost $15-$20 for one drink. Realizing the absurdity of the cost of a single bubble tea, I started looking into bubble tea recipes and ingredients to make my own at home, hoping that it would be a more affordable solution to my cravings. I spent countless hours perfecting the right recipe and products to replicate that authentic bubble tea taste we all know & love! Today, I’m happy to say that our bubble tea recipes have been taste-tested by not only me, but some of the pickiest boba peeps and bubble tea store staff I could find!
